Scrolling through her twitter feed, Suzan Rodriguez gets excited as she learns new and exciting facts and events about her favorite celebrities. Rodriguez has a passion for musicians Justin Bieber, One Direction and Taylor Swift.

“I think [that] Justin [Bieber] I started liking in 2009, One Direction [I started liking] in late 2011 and Taylor [Swift] probably in 2010.” Rodriguez said.

Because of her love for the musicians Rodriguez has attended a few of their concerts and participated in their events.

“The first event I went to was One Direction and it was crazy [because] it was their first time in Texas,” Rodriguez said. “It was like first come first serve to come and see them.”

Rodriguez and some friends got to the One Direction concert early to make sure that they we the first few people.

“Me and my cousins had to sleep over at the baseball park,” Rodriguez said. “We didn’t take a tent [because] we weren’t that prepared [so] we had to sleep on the sidewalk. We were one of the first 100 people there so it was good.”

After the concert, Rodriguez had the chance to meet the group and said that they were really nice and cute with their accents.

“They do really nice things, if you hear more about them [you learn] that they are so sweet to their fans and they treat people really nice,” Rodriguez said. “They’re inspiring.”

Since the beginning of all of their journeys, Rodriguez would say that she is a true fan because she has been supporting the musicians.

“I buy their CD’s, their books, their magazines, their notebooks, folders, dvds, perfumes and shirts.” Rodriguez said.

Though Rodriguez loves these musicians, there are always people saying mean things about them. She says that she sometimes gets sad over that, but she tries to ignore it.

“A lot of people hate Taylor Swift.” Rodriguez said. “But I think she’s actually a good role model because she does so many kind things.”

Though her favorite musicians are role models to her, she does admit that some of thir actions are not wise for the younger audience.

“With the stuff [Justin Biebers] done lately, hes kind of not [a good role model] because he’s growing up,” Rodriguez said. “I feel like he’s not too good for little kids to be watching him because his new music is more for older people.”

Even though she doesn’t agree with some of the things that Justin Bieber does, she still loves him and the other musicians because of their positive influence on her.

“They influenced me to never give up when anything is possible,” Rodriguez said,
