“I think [police brutality is] an unfortunate part of our society now. I don’t think it’s anything that we would want to see our police do. I think there are great police officers; I have family that are police officers. And I think that there’s definitely an issue. Numbers and data don’t lie. Hopefully there can be a greater trust built between the police and our community, as whole, as a nation.”
